Repurposed Yard Sale Picture

Yard Sale Picture Repurposed using Burlap and Paint!

I had some old pictures laying around in the garage from yard sales and I figured I should do something with them. And well....also I need to start re-doing things and getting them outta the there. We got quite the lack of space in there..HeeHee!

So I took the back off the picture and wrapped some burlap around it. And then tightly hot glued it into place. And I say tight, so it lays straight once it's in the frame.

Then I painted the frame. I wanted a distressed rustic look.

Put the burlap back into the frame and secure in place.

I seen the quote "Love lives here" and fell in love with it! So I painted it right on the burlap.

And if as if that wasn't cute enough....I had to add some bling! I dug through my stash of vintage jewelry and found this adorable earring! Then glued into place!

If you want to know how to make that cute Pom Pom Garland

  2. It is truly adorable, and the pom poms are cute too! Perfect for Valentine's Day, but also for all year! I have a few canvases and thrift store "paintings" that I've been meaning to cover with burlap, but I haven't had any inspiration beyond that! Maybe I will do something similar to yours for our bedroom! Have a great night, Julia
