A friend of mine was looking for a house warming gift for her sister in law, and wanted to give her something unique for her new house.
She found this chest on Craigslist for a steal, $30!! And then hired muah to redo it!!
I started by sanding it down.
Gorgeous wood underneath!
Since it's a brisk 20 degrees here in Nebraska, project chest had to moved inside.
I told my friend I was gonna keep it!
Just kiddin!! I hope her sister in law loves it!

Very nicely done! I have a similar chest that I would love to do something with, but my dad gave it to me and he is so proud of it so I'm reluctant to do anything to it just yet. : ) But this was a very nice transformation, good job!
ReplyDeleteI really fascinated reading this kind of craft! I adored how the heart transforms into a star, glow! I have one of this in my cabin yet not totally a small but kind of bigger than a treasure chest. Maybe, I can craft it just like your ideas. You have classy works here!

ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful. What a great job you did. I like the way you distressed it, and the stain color you used.
