Cedar Chest Makeover

I wanted to share another cedar chest makeover with you all.
Long story short, my husband and I have been shopping around for a new patio set with no luck. Until one day we found one on Craigslist. Little did we know the couple that were selling it turned out being the neatest, friendliest couple.
The wife and I got to talking and she had been looking for someone who paints furniture! Well...that just so happens to be my lil side hobby!!
She hired me right away to re-do a couple pieces! Yay!!

Here is her chest. Maybe a lil out dated to some but still full of life, and in perfect condition!

I even had one of my helpers wanting to assist mom with this project!

Here is the fabric she picked out for the top!
Perfect match huh?!!

I left the inside as is. It was far to pretty to alter.

Distressed and added new knobs.

And here it is...
GORGEOUS!!

  4. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I have a cedar chest that my late father built. It needs refinished badly. Seeing this chest is so inspiring because I can visualize how pretty I can make mine. Thanks for sharing (found at project pin it). Pinned to try. Have a wonderful weekend.

  7. So pretty. I have a chest that I was given when I was younger and I want to repaint it but I'm totally worried I'll ruin it. Your makeover looks amazing!
