TODAYS PROJECT
I seen this idea on Pintrest and had to give it a shot. I thought it would look pretty neat in our garage aka garage flare!
I took 2 left over pallet pieces and sanded them down.
A coat of white paint.
Painted the letters on. Couldn't find my stencil so I had to free hand this one. It will do I guess.
Then I hot glued on the washers to the letters.
TA-DAH!!

Lilly's New Throne!
A friend of mine had built a new deck. But her dog Lilly wanted to always sit on her lap so she could see over the railing. Mind you that Lilly isn't a little girl.
So my friend had brought me some of her lumber she had left over and asked me to work my magic! I needed to build Lilly her own deck throne!
I had 2 pieces of lumber and this pallet.
I had to dig up my un-used math skills from back in the day and figure how big I could make this.
Legs=16in
Ends=24in
Sides=36in
I thought by gosh it worked! Legs and everything fit!
We cut the pallet down and I used 5 boards for the platform. Sanded and screwed then down. Then we attached an edge so the pillow wouldn't slip off.
Well then next thing I knew it was 10 o'clock (pm), and figured it was COCKTAIL TIME!
Excuse the messy garage, I still haven't got to organizing it yet.
And here's LILLY on her new throne!!!

My DIY Garage Scooter
I needed something short to sit on while I was working on projects in the garage. I got tired of sitting on the ground. And of course I didn't want to spend the money to buy one either. So I seen an idea!
I scored 2 old school scooters and 2 milk crates.
The crate was just a little bigger than the scooter. So I needed a "platform". We had some left over wood from another project. I measured it and cut to size (about 13 1/2inches).
I used liquid nails and glued around the edges.
And put the wood pieces in place, and flipped upside down. Then glued the scooter to the bottom.
And now I have a SHORT GARAGE WORK SCOOTER! It will make working on the ground sooo much easier!

This week in MINETTESMAZE!
Just wanted to share a couple fun pics with ya!
This is my son Christian (AKA Bullseye Bobby) at his Trap Shoot meet last weekend! I'm looking to book our hotel room for the State Tourney this week! Last year was soo much fun! It was a great mother and son trip! Can't wait to make more memories this year!

Here is Jaylen and our dog Harley. He loves taking the boys to school with me in the mornings that I'm off work. It's almost like he's posing in this picture. What a good picture of these 2!
PROJECT BASEMENT!
When the boys and I moved into my husbands home, the basement was the first thing that had to be done. Christian needed a room! It had cold cement block walls, catch all storage, and well just a kinda creepy scary basement. He had already "gutted" it thinking someday he would get it refinished..... So project basement was in full force!
So here is a before...kinda. We had already painted the cement block walls with Killz.
And then project drywall.... What a dusty mess! And drop ceiling was installed.

New Organizer/Planter!
This morning I decided that I needed to my cleaning done so I can attempt to work in the garage this afternoon. I'm so eager to get out there and start on my novel of ideas!
I had a few left over pallets that I had already hacked into last year for other projects. Actually can you say saved them because the hubby wanted to burn them in the fire pit. LOL
So I busted out my handy dandy jigsaw and started a working!
I will admit I am kinda scared to use the sawzall without the hubby home. So when in doubt, JIGSAW! I just cut the center sections of the board.
Line up the boards the way you want them. And then I pre-drilled a hole before I screwed them together. Because if not (I'm speaking from experience)the wood will split.
One of my helpers couldn't wait to get his hands dirty!
Now this one....is still sitting on the work table waiting for some soil and beautiful flowers. Because its still to cold to plant the pretties!
