What would you do??

Here is an old windmill I scored at a farm sale. It needed to be fixed, but I knew it was possible! My son Christian has been learning a lot in welding class (a class that he actually pays attention in LOL), and was more than happy to have an excuse to weld something!

So the question is....

What color or theme would you paint it?

  1. I love this old windmill- and I don't think I'd change the colors at all! But I would get rid of that…whatever that large piece of wood is that is attached. LOL! I just wanted to pop by from the DIY Sunday party to tell you thanks so much for co-hosting the linked! I really enjoy participating. Also- the house in the background there, looks like the one I grew up in in Mojave, California. :)

    1. LOL That piece is actually metal. Its the tail that directs the windmill where the winds is blowing. It does look a little funny. And thats really funny about the house. We live a small older part of town and all the houses are pretty small. Thanks for stoppin by and checking it out. I might just brighten the colors up a bit. The new pieces have to be painted.

  2. I really love your windmill. There is one that we can see from our backyard that is painted red and blue. It's adorable! How nice that your son is learning to weld. Won't that be handy!
