DIY Chicken Wire Basket- Vintage Knockoff

If you have ever shopped for "Vintage Baskets"? You better be prepared to spend some moolah!!

I have been searching when I go on my "Junkin" Adventures, and just can't see myself paying the $$ they want for em. Call me cheap I guess! LOL SO...I decided I've got some chicken wire in the garage, and I gonna figure out how to make one!!

First I had to figure out something to help make/keep the shape. So as I was cruising around my local Dollar Tree I seen these Cooling Racks...2 for a $1!!! Can't beat that HUH??!! Perfect for the job!

First I used some wire cutters (Wait...Put some GLOVES ON, chicken wire is pretty sharp!!) and cut the middle rack part out of one of them so I would just have the outside "frame" of it. And this will be the top of the basket. The other rack will be your bottom!

The the next step is cutting your chicken wire.
Place the rack in the center to help guide you as to size.
Then as you see in the first picture on the left, cut out the corners.
Attach on side at a time by looping the chicken wire to "frame" piece.

I thought I would add some cutsey Easter decorations!!

So many uses for this cute lil Basket!!
